Between Battlefields and Open Roads: Notes from a Gaming and Van Life Journey

Gaming Adventures Across Familiar Battlefields

Gaming is a regular part of my downtime and a great way to stay connected with friends. DayZ brings survival, exploration, and unpredictable encounters, while World of Tanks, World of Warships, and World of Warplanes each offer their own style of strategy and competition. Every session has a different story, whether it involves a carefully planned match, an unexpected defeat, or a memorable moment shared with other players. From time to time, I also explore other games, keeping things varied and discovering new experiences along the way.

The Ongoing Story of a 1963 Volkswagen Bus

Alongside gaming, much of my attention is focused on a 1963 Volkswagen Bus panel van. This ongoing project is a long-term journey involving research, maintenance, improvements, and plenty of patience. The van has its own character and history, and each step forward is worth documenting. Photos, progress updates, and personal notes help capture both the practical work and the enjoyment that comes from bringing an older vehicle back to life.

Photos, Files, and Personal Updates

Sharing is at the heart of this collection of interests. Photos preserve moments from gaming sessions, daily life, and the van project, while files and updates make it easier to keep useful information together. Some posts may focus on a specific game or repair task, while others simply reflect what has been happening recently. Together, these updates create a record of changing interests, ongoing projects, and everyday experiences.

Keeping in Touch

Most importantly, these interests provide a way to remain connected with friends and family. Whether the subject is a close game, a new van discovery, or a simple personal update, every shared moment offers an opportunity to catch up. This is a place for conversation, memories, and the gradual story of life on the road, at the computer, and everywhere in between.
